Reflective Textile Sticker
Reflective stickers for clothes and bags, helping you to be visible whilst customising your go to cycling outfits. Great for making bags, backpacks and trainers hi-vis in your own style. Suitable for both adult and children's hi-visibility attire.
The transfers can be cut to size to create your own unique effect and pattern. They are flexible for ease of application, the patented adhesive sticks to both smooth and rough surfaces.
The textile stickers consist of three layers. A reflective upper 3M Scotchlite layer over a flexible fabric is laminated with a PSA adhesive film, which strongly adheres to both textile and hard surfaces.
The stickers come in a "Brick" design, for ultimate versatility in letting your creative juices flow. You can create almost any design for whatever item of clothing you are seeking to customise. There are enough bricks to duplicate designs for example for each sleeve of a jacket or top. The sticker sheets produce almost no waste, as all the shapes line up seamlessly also maximising the number of reflective blocks.
- At least 300 cd/lux-m2 reflection, depending on the colour, providing good long range visibility
- The reflective material is certified according to Oeko-Tex 100 standard.
- The stickers can withstand high temperature fluctuations (-40°C - 90°C) and are weather and solvent resistant
- Suitable for outdoor use
- Approx 0.2mm thickness
- 1 sheet (75x110mm) with 34 individually removable stickers
- The folding packaging is made of recycled paper
- Easy to stick and pliable to suite different surfaces, no ironing or sewing required
- The durability of the stickers can be impaired on coated functional textiles because the adhesive cannot bond properly to the fabric
Application
The surface where the stickers are being applied should be dry and free of grease and dust. Remove the sticker from the backing paper and then press firmly. For good adhesive strength, it is also recommended that the stickers be applied at a temperature of at least 18°C.
Removal
The stickers can be easily removed by ironing over some paper and peeling off. Re-sticking is then no longer possible due to the reduced adhesive strength. After prolonged use, adhesive residue may appear on the area of application.
Care
A large number of washing tests with a wide variety of clothing items and types of fabric have produced consistently positive results and good adhesion at 40 °C. We would recommend washing at 30 °C and iron on the alternative side if essential. How often the stickers survive washing machine cycles depends on several factors, in particular the surface material of the clothing and the washing program. Coated (functional) materials (eg water-repellent outerwear) prevent an optimal bond between the fabric and the adhesive, which can cause the stickers to fall off. Strong spinning and high heat in the dryer will also have a negative affect on the adhesion of the stickers.
